Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Add trivet to bottom of pot if using
  2. Add liquid (minimum amount per recipe)
  3. Place food on trivet or submerged in liquid
  4. Close lid and set valve to sealing
  5. Select cooking time using buttons
  6. Pot comes to pressure (takes 5-15 minutes)
  7. Cooks under pressure for set time
  8. Release pressure naturally or quickly
  9. Open lid carefully - steam is very hot

Professional Tips

  • Never fill more than 2/3 full (liquid expands)
  • Always have some liquid - needed to create pressure
  • Natural release takes longer but is gentler
  • Quick release = fast dinner
